KENNETH KOLLIN
General Manager, RHK Technology
Kenneth Kollin is RHK Technology’s General Manager, and also son of RHK’s founder, Adam Kollin. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Kenneth started working for RHK in 2005, following receiving his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. Ken’s initial responsibilities involved managing company IT and internal tools and utilities. Soon after, his role expanded into quality assurance for the SPM100, and later, providing expert technical support to customers. With ever-growing experience, Ken managed the software development for RHK’s XPMPro package and assisted with direction of RHK’s R-series controllers, from the R9, R9plus and R10. Now serving as RHK Technology General Manager, Ken has high hopes for the future.
Ken’s daily motivation is to make sure RHK Technology is providing affordable SPM solutions to researchers who are making new discoveries and bringing change to the world we live in. Ken describes his RHK support team as dedicated, educated, seasoned, and well-traveled. With this highly knowledgeable staff, he looks forward to continuing to build on RHK’s legacy and reputation by always listening to customers and acting on the needs of researchers that have placed their trust in RHK Technology.

ADAM KOLLIN
Founder, RHK Technology
RHK Technology was founded in 1981 by Adam Kollin to develop scientific instruments for the surface science community. Since 1988, the company’s focus has been in the field of Scanning Probe Microscopes. RHK has a world-wide reputation for superior technology and outstanding customer support. RHK employs highly skilled engineers, scientists and support staff, some that have been with the company for decades. Kollin’s goal for RHK Technology has always been to build the best products in the world, created by an empowered staff with unmatched institutional knowledge to advance the vision of nanoscience. After nearly 45 years, Adam has passed the company’s management torch down to his son, Kenneth.
Benjamin Kollin
Production Manager, RHK Technology
Company founder Adam Kollin’s son, Benjamin Kollin, has dedicated over two decades to RHK Technology, steadily rising through the ranks to become Production Manager. Beginning his journey as a technician in 2004, Benjamin immersed himself in the company’s operations, mastering cable assembly, wiring harnesses, and electrical box construction. His hands-on experience and commitment to quality led to his promotion to Cleanroom Manager, where he oversaw the production of RHK’s UHV systems. With a growing understanding of the company’s technical and material needs, Benjamin transitioned to the role of Purchasing Manager before rising to his current position.
Benjamin’s career motivation is deeply rooted in family. He draws inspiration from his father, whose relentless dedication built RHK into a leader in scientific instrumentation. Watching his father’s hard work and sharing his vision has fueled Benjamin’s own commitment to excellence, as he strives to honor and extend the legacy entrusted to him and his brother, Kenneth.
As Production Manager, Benjamin is dedicated to advancing RHK Technology’s reputation for innovation and quality in the scientific community. He is committed to building products that exceed customer expectations. Guided by his father’s wisdom—“Try your hardest in every endeavor, and don’t worry over the things for which you have no control”—Benjamin leads with integrity, and a deep respect for his family’s legacy.
